I was born in Athens, Greece, in 1967, studied Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in the U.K., Education in Greece, and currently work as an Associate Professor in Molecular Microbiology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. My interests include molecular typing of bacteria, antimicrobial drug resistance, the public health aspect of infectious diseases, and -last but not least- scientific writing and editing, and lifelong learning.
